Over a few days, I found out from random people that the area DID have a dodgy reputation so possibly the previous reviews are fair. "It's an old pub so don't expect sparkling chrome and fancy fittings. It's a great old country pub, with comfortable beds, excellent food, really friendly staff and exactly what you would expect from a country pub. We'll definitely return. "

"Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"It needs a good refurbishment carpets worn and patched up in our room double bed was so uncomfortable could feel the springs single bed ok. Alright for the price but would definatly not stay again photo's of hotel on site must have been year's old think it needs updating the was nowhere to get anything to eat if you wanted to "
