"A wonderful ryokan stay with exceptional Kaiseki dinner, with dinner served in our room. "Location - there is a pick up service from jr nakuro onsen station. You need to notify the hotel in advance for the pick up service. Staff- they are very nice. I got off at the wrong jr station. The next train will be an hour later but the hotel staff was already at the station waiting for me. I was very lucky to get some assistance from a local gentleman. "I had a really comfortable stay at Route-Inn. The room is nice and bed comfy. The breakfast buffet was superb and there are lots of options for affordable dining close by. It is a bit of a walk to get to the train station and some bus stops but I was able to get everywhere I needed just fine. "

"Lovely hotel. My room was large and had a view of the mountains. The onsen is small but has a nice outdoor pool which was delightful in the rain. Staff don't speak a lot of English but used translators to help. The restaurant is very nice with attention to every detail. I would stay here again."

"The place was as described. The indoor onsen was small. Didn't go for the outdoor onsen as the timing pretty early from 5.30am-8.15am and have to complete my breakfast by 8.15am. Overall the stay was comfortable."

"I really adored this place, and it was very conveniently located for day trips into Ginzan Onsen. The room was clean and affordable and in exchange for environmentally clean services we were given free beer or chuhai and breakfast vouchers. The hotel also has a nice public bath which worked wonders after a day walking in the cold. And honestly the chains sheep mascot was really cute; this place was just very charming for a place so far out in Japan. I will stay here the next chance I get."

"You have to understand the area you are in, and this is pretty rural Japan. So, for such an area this was a great hotel. Clean, helpful staff, very good breakfast included. And, hot bath area if that is your thing. Perfect location right by the station but super quiet. The beds are traditional Japan style so VERY firm. We enjoyed our stay!!"
