"This is my favourite hotel in Himeji. While older and perhaps not as trendy as some newer properties, it is still exceptionally well-maintained and very comfortable. The public bath, while small, is very much appreciated. The dining/breakfast room on the top floor is still quite elegant (french-style) with great views of Himeji Castle in the distant background. "Pillow is a bit hard. I think it could be changed if request. I stayed 2 nights and only pressed the "change towels button". The towel bag was hung on my door handle. They didn’t come inside to do cleanup (i.e. rubbish bag also not changed). I saw someone put towel bag inside "used towel" in the onsen area. It is not very hygiene if it places clean towel again."

As for the building, to call this hotel "dated" is an understatement as it is right out of the 1960s. The room was hot and the AC was not working properly.
