Tiles in the shower with missing grout, what looked like mold growing behind a lip of the tub, shower handle barely attached, bath fan inoperable. Heat vent both in the bathroom and in the main room rusty and bent. Wall that the headboards were on visibly covered in dust. Shower curtain with multiple holes in it. Incredibly thin...

"Although the property appears to be older, it was clean and the staff was friendly. There was a small breakfast included (cereal, bagels pastries and yogurt) and drinks. It was the perfect pit stop for a single night. "

"We LOVE the Alpine. It's in a quiet location and the staff are wonderful! The rooms are always spotlessly clean. The Alpine is no-frills, but that makes it nice. Just a quaint, quiet place to relax in a spacious, clean room. The staff are friendly and courteous and We've stayed there twice now, and both stays were excellent. Much better than in one of the "brand name" hotels."

"The property brought back that nostalgia past! Very clean, beds comfortable! Walk out of your room to a small patio and sit on very nice rockers and stare out on the water and watch the boats go by! If you need all the amenities and outlets in all the rooms, not the place for you! If you want peace and to reflect this is your place! They are updating and working on the electrical! "The rooms are suites with eating area, wet bar, couch, fireplace and porch looking out on nature. Only 10 rooms in the lodge. There are many walking trails and you can circle the whole lake in less than 1.5 miles. Wonderful food and there is a small snack shop. Bring your own wine for dinner. Very very nice secluded spot. "
