"We stayed in the penthouse, lovely accomodation 1 double & twin. Huge television, great for football & movies. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge, washing machine. Home from home. "

"Very welcoming staff so that was a great first impression. Very well presented accommodation. Great shower. Plenty of beverages and having a sofa too in the evening was a bonus. Enjoyed some good food in the pub along with a very drinkable bottle of red. Great atmosphere. Bed was very comfortable. It is only self serve continental breakfast of cereal, yoghurt and toast. "It is a bit of a mixed bag review - the staff and catering were good but the accommodation is not as shown on the web site - the room was small and the bathroom smaller yet. a cupboard in reality. the carpet leading to the bedrooms needed a good clean or replacement which made the whole place look scruffy and dated yet the bar and restaurant quite cosy."

If you only think to visit Hay-On-Wye dyring the book festival you are missing out on all the other wonderful attributes of the region.
