"This property was a perfect budget hotel for an overnight stay to catch a next day flight. The free shuttle bus was great at the airport, took about 10 mins to get to the hotel after midnight. The clerk at the check in desk was friendly, smiling and had our room keys all ready. The room was great, small, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. "The pros were the location, close to the airport and Amsterdam Central, great local transport links and supermarkets nearby, and it was a surprisingly quiet area considering its proximity to university dorms. "Great place to stay away from the city but public transport can be tricky (running time). Train / bus station is 10 mins walk away and run frequently throughout but just needs planning. I would recommend staying here if you want a quiet and clean place away from the city and don’t mind commuting. "

"Great but they put me in an accessible room which I hadn’t booked & then upon leaving the elevators weren’t working (sucks when you recently broke your knee). Besides that it was a sparse but large and clean room. No soap in the bathroom though - good thing I brought my own. Friendly FD staff & great location & price"

"This was our secomd time staying at the Ocean House and just like the first time we were placed on the 2nd floor and yet again the lift broke down. This was a disappointment as the climb up can feel tiring... that said, the best aspect of our stay was the tentative and excellent customer service from Nicolas! He is hard working and always smiling. The accommodation its self was nice and the main double bed is exceptionally comfortable. The beach is in walking distance and the hotel offers bikes...

"Fantastic staff who provided a lot helpful advice. Gabriela and Denzel were particularly helpful. Overall, I had a great stay. The room was perfect, the staff were helpful, and the location was close to the main plaza with lots of great restaurant options. Highly recommend!"

"Right in middle of everything . Small room but perfect for what u need. Nice comfy bed, bathroom/shower, TV. No a/c but room did have fan kept room fresh. Across there’s a pub, a lot of food options in walking distance. 7 min walk from Leiden Central Station. Very pleasant stay. "

"Would not stay again. Hotel not kept up. Staff kind and helpful. Not clean at all. Reception and restaurant not open for breakfast or coffee. Rooms were not ready at arrival. No elevator - stairs were very unsafe - Enough said. "

"On my first night there we found the aircon didnt work and we was cold all night, we found the room filthy under the bed, but after complaining about this and showing the proof the manager gave us a big discount, little did we know our next hotel let us down and we found we had no wherd to go for the next night, but the manager of this hotel helped us with 2 single rooms as that is what was left and gave us the big discount and a little more to help us out. For a new hotel they are still learning, but they have great customer service and the manager was so friendly and helpful."
