"This is a nice hotel in good location. They have free parking and that is a plus. The host works very hard to see that you have a good stay. The breakfast area is rather busy with a fixed breakfast that is not self serve.. As in many of these stately hotels in England, you have to struggle up three flights of stairs with your luggage as there is no lift. "It was ok. The hotel will not suit everyone. The webpage is misleading. No pool, no games room, no bar no dining room. No lounge no conservatory access. My room was fine, it had four beds. All very basic. No heating, it was chilly for april. An electric vector heater provided. It had everything I needed. Kettle, hot water, shower, nice view. "The single room was comfortable, clean and pleasant. It had tea making facilities, a hair drier and iron. The en suite was of a good size and private. The only draw back was the shower - it had little water pressure and the shower hose was a poor fit. I had a key to a separate entrance which gave me freedom to avoid the bar and flexibility to come and go."
