"Great location, easy drive to town. Staff very attentive. Enjoyed the pool and the kids loved the little game room in the reception area. Matresses were a little too firm and there was no shampoo or conditioner in supplied in the bathroom. "

"This is our second time staying at this hotel and we think it is perfect. The price is fantastic. It is clean with TV, hot showers, and a mini-fridge. It also has parking out back and tons of restaurants up and down the street."

"Every inch of this place is meticulously maintained - the grounds, the pool, the kitchen. Nice, comfortable beds. Marcela and her team are incredibly sweet and helpful. The food is outstanding. Beautiful meals with produce grown on the property, everything made from scratch including yogurts and juices. This was an all-around outstanding experience. "

"We loved the fact that the premise was new, clean, modern equipment; what we did not like was the internet service, although staff were there quickly to assist, the movies selected, would just buffer, opted to turn off the TV."

"Beautiful property and the staff are friendly and professional. The resort was able to accommodate us on short notice when our previously booked lodging cancelled due unforeseen circumstances. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The resort is lovely and great for bird watching. Highly recommend a stay at Roaring River Resort and Golf Course!"

"The property was beautiful. The rooms were huge and so unique. The staff were wonderful. We met the owner and that was indeed very special. We would definitely stay there again."

"Joe & Miriam (sp?) were very friendly and engaging hosts. We went to the Caracol Mayan site and also did a boat/swimming/waterfall tour. Joe is very knowledgeable about Mayan ruins. He is most enthusiastic about showing you his native country. Miriam is a great cook. We thoroughly enjoyed our jungle experience."

"This place is very back to nature. They have a mini farm with turkeys and ducks etc. Because it’s a little out of the way they do offer Brkfst and dinner. If you book in advance they reserve dinner. If coming in late, take advantage it was a very nice meal. There is also a time restriction for dinner, be aware. Owner is very nice and informative."

"We absolutely LOVED our stay here! It was so calm and peaceful. The staff are wonderful and will go out of their way to help you with anything you need. It's definitely more at the 'rustic' end of the scale but we really enjoyed that aspect. The river is wonderful to jump in and cool off and Mario helped us with a river tubing trip that ended right at the hotel's desk. Camille who cooked the food was so wonderful and kind and we really loved the delicious local dishes she made for us. While...

"Beautiful place but very simple with no tv or air conditioner but did come with a ceiling fan and 2 floor fans that we were able to use all 3 in one room. Came with a kitchen and coffee pot, stove & fridge but no microwave "
