"The front desk was extra helpful in arranging transportation to outings and to the airport. They are very service oriented. The lodge is definitely a unique place of cabins in a jungle atmosphere with beautiful plants, but close to town. The 5 of us stayed in a 3BR family cabin. Two of us took advantage of having massages in their cute little spa, which was great. We ate dinner and most breakfasts at their little restaurant. Very good food."

"My husband and I truly enjoyed our 4 nights at Gumbo Limbo. It’s a nature-lovers paradise, but so much more. Our honeymoon cabana was spacious with a comfortable bed and linens to die for…the bathroom was large and everything was well-appointed and clean. It was luxury jungle living without any pretentiousness. The grounds and pool area are truly exquisite— and though Christine, the host, would say there is so much more they want to do with the property, I would argue at this affordable price point— Gumbo Limbo is absolutely perfect just the way it is. This was our first trip to Belize with our primary goal to experience the amazing Mayan ruins and get a quick taste of the San Ignacio area— we did that and look forward to a return trip (staying at Gumbo Limbo) where we can do a deeper dive into the culture.
