"My husband and I truly enjoyed our 4 nights at Gumbo Limbo. It’s a nature-lovers paradise, but so much more. Our honeymoon cabana was spacious with a comfortable bed and linens to die for…the bathroom was large and everything was well-appointed and clean. It was luxury jungle living without any pretentiousness. The grounds and pool area are truly exquisite— and though Christine, the host, would say there is so much more they want to do with the property, I would argue at this affordable price point— Gumbo Limbo is absolutely perfect just the way it is. This was our first trip to Belize with our primary goal to experience the amazing Mayan ruins and get a quick taste of the San Ignacio area— we did that and look forward to a return trip (staying at Gumbo Limbo) where we can do a deeper dive into the culture. "The staff, the food, the service all excellent. Only comment is that having a massage during the rain on the yoga platform was not up to your standards. We had to ask several times for our massage to be in our rooms instead of freezing out in the open. Other than that our stay was very good and I would highly recommend Mystic River to anyone going to Belize."

"This is one of the best places I ever stayed at. If you like a rainforest, / jungle setting, then this is by far one of the most peaceful, beautiful areas you could go to. Amazing staff and a overall fantastic experience. I picked it from expedia, and I am very glad I did. The grounds are beyond amazing, with its flora and beautiful pool and cabins. Nothing could have been better and I will be returning soon."
