"The hostel itself was quite clean, but living in a dorm it is always largely dependent on who is staying there with you. Most of the girls were very quiet and respectful and tidy, but over the days there were one or two that made it messy/dirty for the rest. But nice to have the sleep pod which was my own space. A LOT of noise from the free house/pub outside the door, often until 3 AM, and again early in the morning when garbage and recycling were collected each day and pub being restocked. ...

"We loved staying at the 4 Friends House. It's in a quiet neighborhood with many amenities nearby. Bus stops are right down the street and the tram is a 10-15 minute walk and will take you to and from the airport. It's a great spot to explore the Leith area with ample restaurants and pubs around. The staff was so friendly. Our flight arrived long before check-in, but they were able to hold our luggage so we could explore more easily. We hope to return to Edinburg at some point, and 4 Friends will...

"The staff were great. The place was a very close walk to the tram , which was amazing for getting around the city. The place was clean and the building felt secure. As a student dorm , it was as expected, nothing flashy but that’s all that was needed to enjoy the city. There is a grocery store and a Starbucks very close which was also very convenient. "

The things I did not like were: the shared toilet located across the room even though I booked an ensuite one - called and messaged the owner but no response; only 1 hanger available for our jackets, and the motion-activated light in the toilet automatically shuts off so I was having a shower in the dark lol"
