"King's Head Hotel or KA as it is known locally exceeded our expectations. We had 2 rooms booked for 9th November '24. Checking in was a doddle. Greeted by a young man. Following minimal checking in procedure we were shown to our rooms. Rooms were spotless and had only recently been updated. All furniture was of good, solid quality (I think some upcycling of chests of drawers ahd been done). Bathroom was great. A vary large walkinshower complemented by white toilet and wash basin. "What a gorgeous hut! We stayed here for a friends wedding which was so convenient. Only things that I could fault is that the solar power usb charger point had no energy to charge our phones/ the lights weren't working. Also its a little walk to the toilet/ shower however they are excellent facilities. Maybe a bit overpriced if looking for a quiet getaway but was perfect location for the wedding we attended so would recommend for anybody attending a wedding at the abbey hall without a doubt!"

"On arrival there is limited information on where to park and where to check-in. Following my experience, I had to provide assistance to another traveller that was also at a loss. The room itself is functional. The bathroom has motion sensor lighting, so the door was closed. Subsequently, due to the lack of ventilation, the bathroom was smelly and there were areas that could do with some mould and mildew spray to sort both its appearance and the smell.
