"This hotel is a hidden gem. I love it so much I almost don’t want to review it so it doesn’t get too booked. The rooms are large and well appointed with TV, microwave, and mini fridge. Most importantly they are pristinely clean. The staff is friendly, helpful, and highly efficient. The location is perfect and parking is on site and garaged. You absolutely cannot beat this value. I am a repeat guest—anytime I am in Oakland for business, this is where I stay. "

"We were going to a show at the Oakland Arena and the La Quinta is very close so we could walk and miss the traffic and parking fee. The staff was very nice, room was clean, free breakfast, free on site parking and pet friendly. The area around the hotel seemed sketchy and a police officer warned us to be very careful while walking."

"Area felt safe. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchenette but it could use some upgrading. The halls had a smell and carpet was dirty. The “breakfast” was lacking. They had two types of small muffins, coffee, hot chocolate and tea. "
