"Its a motel with gate that is locked at night. They know my name and always a big welcome. I always get a cooler and get ice from their ice machine. I've stayed here many times and will stay again."

"Was pleased with our stay at Soy Local. Came on a family vacation with older children, and booked 2 rooms. The hotel is in a great location to catch the bus, to go to the convenience store, the big grocery store is not a far walk, and the beach is easy to walk to as well. The hotel was large and tidy, but in bad need of updating. We are not picky travellers, and thought the old historical nature of the hotel was charming and low-key. This is not the place for you if you complain about a broken...

"This is an old building. It looks totally different than the pictures in Expedia. The pool is small, the water pressure is low and sometimes there is just a trickle of hot water. But, it’s a nice, solid hotel and the staff is wonderful."

"Great unit and staff. Staff was very accommodating. We had the staff do laundry for us and for $10 US they dis a large garbage bag, folded and hung the clothes. Super impressed. The hills are a lot but not impossible. Ubers from the main areas run $4-$6. "
