"Travelled from Canada solo. Age 45. Mad Monkey was fantastic. Chill upbeat vibes during the day. From around 6:30pm-11:30pm was fun party vibes. Quiet times from Midnight to Noon"ish". Easy 5 min walk to patong beach and 10 min walk to crazy Bangla road nightlife. Anything you could want or need is everywhere around you at all times. Very social atmosphere with awesome staff. "Pool closed too early. We wanted go to pool around 8pm it was closed we were told. Otherwise everything was great. Close to walking distance for places we wanted to go like food, massage etc. Nice n clean. We were checked in early then booked checked time as we got there like 11am with no problem checking in early and no additional fee. Thanks 10/10 from us. "

"It was a decent stay but I wasn't a fan of the cleanliness of the place. Inside my cubby wasn't the cleanest as there was some stuff on the walls and it made me feel grossed out and the moldy wet smell wasn't my favorite either. Also, the beds were hard and not all that comfy. Other than that it was in a very convenient area and liked that I was able to quickly get some food or do laundry without hastle."

"Mon and Dennis are fabulous hosts at their super clean hotel. Rooms and public areas are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Shower has lots of hot water and is separate from toilet which is so nice to not have a wet floor like most budget hotels. The small pool is great for a soak and quite photogenic. Also nice view from balcony rooms. Rooms in back are quiet with very good aircon and ceiling fan. Also good wifi. Several very good local Thai restaurants (not fancy) in walking distance...

"We were a bit apprehensive about our choice not realizing it was a 2* hotel but were pleasantly surprised. Great for a one night stay. Hotel was clean, rooms were a good size and location to Chalong Pier was great. Just an FYI there is no elevator so hefting a heavy suitcase up 2 or 3 floors could be a challenge for some. "
