"The hotel is set in the picture book village of Hawkshead. The place itself is a beautiful old house with original features throughout. The rooms are a good size with really comfortable beds and are pet friendly. The village itself is beautiful, with several different places to eat and within walking distance of Ambleside (6 miles). No problems booking in or during the 3 days stay. Beware of the big breakfasts - you may not want to move afterwards - but they set you up nicely for the day of exploring the area.
