"We enjoyed our stay at the Seasider. It was clean. The room had nice pillows, towels and mattresses. I liked the laminated flooring in the room. I get creeped out by carpeting in hotel rooms. We had a balcony but didn't really use it because the weather was cool. We liked the simple breakfast in the lobby and looked forward to the cookies or brownies they put out in every afternoon. Front desk people were friendly. Super convenient location for driving to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. ...

"My wife and I drove the coast of Maine, from Portland, up to the West Quoddy Head Light. The overnight stay we had at Barncastle, was easily the best stay we had all trip. Between the beautiful grounds it sat on, the staff being so wonderful and accommodating, as well as the meal we at there, I'm not sure why you wouldn't make this a stop while in Maine. "For the price the room was below average. We stayed 5 nights (convenient to Acadia NP). No maid service offered until day 3 but towels, wash cloths and shampoo were only supplied for one day. The beds were too soft. Breakfast was hot and cold but it was the same thing every day. All cereals were of the sugary variety. Some Raisin Bran would have been nice. Bananas were out out but unless you were standing right there you didn’t get one and more were not put out for awhile. Plenty of apples...

"We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations. The retro decor was very cute and gives the hotel a great vibe. Having the shuttle into downtown right in front of the hotel is super convenient. Only downside is that all the hotels in Bar Harbor are so expensive but this is one of the best values. "

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay during our recent visit to Acadia. I liked that we had designated parking outside of our room. The room was clean and perfect for our needs.
