"The room was nice. Due to Covid restrictions, we didn’t see a single member of staff apart from the man in the bar, which wasn’t the kind of hotel bar I expected. Only on our way to our property were we informed, by text, that the main form of heating is a log burner - and it was our responsibility to buy logs! The central heating was controlled only by the owner, remotely via an app, so we had no way of turning on, off or up the radiators. "A one night stopover. Room a little dated and but clean. There weren’t many accessible plug sockets which made life a little difficult when trying to work. Twin beds - creaky - and feather pillows which I don’t do well with so didn’t have a great nights sleep. Staff wonderful, so welcoming and friendly and one lady even ironed my dress for me. Dinner was good - great choice of traditional pub meals. Breakfast EXCELLENT. Delicious local produce. Overall a pleasant stay and good value - just...
