"I decided to bring my partner here for our first anniversary and the hotel just went above and beyond! Throughout the booking they kept in contact with me to ensure we all knew exactly what was happening, as I asked them to do the room up for us and add some prosecco! We had a 2 and a half hour drive down to Nefyn and before we left I had a text message from Gwawr, she asked if I had an ETA so that they could put the prosecco in the room just before our arrival to ensure it stayed cold! When we checked in Sally was a great help with us ensuring we had all the information needed! We booked in for dinner at 6:00pm and the meal was just lovely! The portions were bigger than expected but it was incredible value for money and just gorgeous food! Upon check out Gwawr was absolutely amazing, ensuring everything had gone as smoothly as possible! Overall, it was made a very personal stay for us and the hotel was beautiful, the room was lovely, anything needed was at most a couple of minute walk away! The rooms were incredible and they even upgraded us to celebrate our anniversary which was just amazing of them! It was a quiet weekend for us which I would say helped make it that bit more personal! We would without a doubt come back! We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody within a heartbeat! "

"The property exceeded our expectations in all respects. It is spacious, light and very well appointed and was in a perfectly clean condition on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed for our full English breakfast for 10! The house is perfectly located close to the beach, the local pub and the mini mart. The host quickly responded to our questions and was super helpful. An altogether really lovely stay."

"Lots of space and in a good area, just a few things needed adding. Such as drawers in the bedrooms, better mattresses in a couple of the bedrooms and just little things here and there that other cottages have supplied "

"The house has lots of space for a large family to eat, play games, and have space from one another. Lots of bathrooms for the whole family to be getting ready at the same time. It was wonderful to have our dog join use. There was a brief walk to a lovely sandy beach and many fun locations with castles for a short drive. There’s a good sized grocery store just up the street that has a great selection of GF and V food. Thank you Hugh and Sally for such a lovely welcome. "

"Very, very unimpressed with the heating situation. Only on our way to our property were we informed, by text, that the main form of heating is a log burner - and it was our responsibility to buy logs! The central heating was controlled only by the owner, remotely via an app, so we had no way of turning on, off or up the radiators. The temperature on these was set so low they only came on for a bit in the mornings. So essentially, the owner is making guests pay for their own heating. The whole property, and particularly the master bedroom, smells badly of damp - when we returned home, all our belongings, even including things like books and iPads, reeked of damp and needed washing. This situation is no doubt made worse by the owner’s approach to limited heating. The final straw for us was when we returned the property after a rainy day and needed radiators on to dry clothes. I texted the owner asking him to turn the radiators up for this purpose. He replied that he’d “turned them up to 19 degrees” (!). They didn’t become noticeably hotter - anyone knows to dry clothes you need them hotter than that. In the end we got disillusioned with the whole situation and left a day early. I cannot recommend this property and will certainly not be returning. "
