"Our family was looking for a lake trip, not too far from home, that we could bring our own boat and water toys. Dropping in at Oak Grove Boat Launch was so convenient. Literally, a straight shot on the water to the dock. My husband dropped us in at the ramp and drove the short distance to the house. Note* he crossed a narrow bridge to get to the house with the trailer. We were able to park our 27-foot trailer at the house, but negotiating it through the horseshoe drive took skill. 😉 The home is perfectly appointed for immediate fun on the water. The paddle boards were a hit! We brought our boat, 2 kayaks, fishing gear and a floating dock/lillypad. The grill was great for hotdogs. The porch fire pit - ideal for s’mores at a cotton candy sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed. We kept it simple and prioritized as much time on the water as we could! The lake is so big and beautiful. Plenty of spots on the water for food and drinks, endless spots for swimming and fishing. We even saw a bald eagle on the property! Everyone slept so well in the comfortable beds and loved waking up to water views from every room. We loved a family movie night and enjoyed the dock/cove for hours. This house was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy our family, Cherokee Lake and use our own boat. If you are looking for a quintessential lake get away, this is your destination!! Grateful we’ve been there and hope to return!"
