"Well priced centrally located hotel in the heart of old town Bergamo, located above a friendly restaurant/ coffee shop. Room was basic but adequate for a short stay, only downside was the shower ( we had read previous reviews so knew this might be an issue) it was snug & water came out in bursts rather than a constant flow."

"This hotel was ok, spacious bathroom, very helpful staff, and reliable housekeeping. The bad parts were a small bed and despite central heating, it was somewhat cold. But my 5 Vie stay wasn't a problem - getting there was. It is better for those that have a car. If you are taking a train and/or bus, please get there as early as possible. "Esperienza consigliata, lo staff è stato molto cordiale e disponibile… A Mendrisio per lavoro ci vado spesso, l’albergo è molto comodo alla stazione, cosa che ho sfruttato per recarmi in centro. Ma anche per una semplice camminata al lago. Credo da come sto scrivendo si capisca la bella esperienza che ho passato ed infatti ho lasciato 5 stelle su 5."

"This property was amazing. The view from the room is worth every dollar. The staff is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond. We got in a bit later on the day of arrival and it was pouring rain, we went down for the dinner and it was so cozy and welcoming of a space. "

"The Woodhouse hotel was our base for attending the Bruce Springsteen concert in Monza, which is just a bus and train ride away. The hotel is no frills, but has all the comfort you need, from good beds to clean rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. "I loved every part of my stay here. The staff were so kind and helpful. The location was a few minutes away from the more touristy areas so you felt like a local. Super close to multiple breathtaking trails and overlooks. Great for seeing the lake towns and mountain views. "

"The hotel is quiet and safe. The restaurant is convenient and offers good pizza on a nice terrace or inside. Relaxing walking to nearby town through the forest. Friendly staff. "

"The hotel itself was great. It had a retro feel which we loved and the staff were lovely. However, it seemed we couldn’t leave and re-enter after 10pm as we didn’t get a key to the main door. It also felt quite unsafe outside as there were many men hanging around trying to talk to you as you looked for the entrance. The entrance is quite concealed, so would be useful to be given instructions on how to find it. "

"The photo in the picture if the pool is not part of the hotel. It is a communal pool 500metres from the hotel which also is of extra cost. I complained to hotels.com about it because we booked the hotel simply for the pool, which it doesn't have, yet the picture is still there. Very misleading. Parking costs €5 overnight. Good location for wandering around the town. In fairness, the bed was comfortable and room was clean, but was very dated. "

"Best place to stay "

"Quirky little place. No curtains in any of the rooms we saw, just a heavy lace. Your door was either deadlocked or open, no snib lock, turn your hot water on 10 minutes before your shower or it will be cold, very little storage space and small bathroom. Breakfast tables were cramped for room, selection ok but no room to put your plate down anywhere to put anything on it. Size of the room and the bed were good. "It was a little difficult to find as it's set back from the main road. My Satnav found the right address but after driving round a one-way system several times, I had to leave my car in a nearby carpark then go looking on foot. My room was clean and spacious with a balcony and separate bathroom and toilet. I'd asked for breakfast at 8am as I had a long drive ahead of me. I was about to leave without breakfast when someone arrived a little after 8am to open up. It was hardly worth hanging around...

"I recently stayed in an economy room with private bathroom, but after reading the reviews I didn’t have my hopes up. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Hotel Bristol. Firstly, it is very accessible via the local metro system and had no bother finding it. The room had a lot more than I expected: balcony, fan, TV, wardrobe, bidet etc. It was quite comfortable and reasonably clean too. If I ever come back to Milan, I’ll definitely try and stay here again - especially with the low price I paid."
