"3 night stay in Alnwick, the property is in a perfect spot for shops,pubs and restaurants And right next to the castle The property is on three floors with a spiral staircase that could be a problem for some people"

"The location of the property was good, although we found the low ceiling height in places a problem and the sofa was too soft for our ageing bones. We were disappointed that the owner didn't refer to the planned building work in their hair salon downstairs. This caused disruption across two days of our break. "

"Lovely, beautiful little old fashioned lodge for self-catering tucked away behind thick gardens abutted to a lovely old building on the outskirts of Alnwick. Its self-catering and had everything we needed, including good TV choice for the evenings and a strong wi-fi (in the lounge but not in kitchen). We just felt so at ease and relaxed in the evenings there. It may not be for everybody, say for example, those that like things to look modern. But for us with an eye to more homely back-in-the-day...
