"Lovely staff but the hotel is looking quite tired and would benefit from refurbishment. The third/bunk bed is really only suitable for children. My 16 year old son said it was like sleeping in a coffin. Though clean, my own bed smelt a little and the sheets were ripped. I think many people have smoked in the room, despite the hotel’s no smoking policy. "

"Es una pensión funcional en el segundo piso con ascensor. Habitación con baño cómodo. El único pero... La ventana al abrirla para ventilar, casi se cae hacia adentro, la bisagra no tiene tornillos, puede generar un accidente."

"Excellent little ibis right next to a load of restaurants at the MaxCenter. My only issue is they there is always a lot of English staying before the ferry, but no opportunity to watch any news in English on tv. Most other hotels have this facility so it’s noticeable when not available. Would recommend though"

"Bit of trouble accessing properly at first, as no access code came through!however it was sorted within 10min!by lovely memeb of staff!who worked in bar across road!!otherwise room/cleaning/was all good!Great shower!kitchen down below also good to have and washing machine and drying!only thing i have against is itz a 15 min away from central!so if you're looking to be bilbao itself??on a gd day!lovely walk along river!about 30min?i enjoyed walking along river!though a lot of changes going...

"I really needed a rest day on my Camino de Santiago, and the hotel was simple and perfect. Rooms are clean, oldies but goodies. At the bar-reception, Thiago was very nice and helpful. The hotel is a good, safe option, if you are not looking for luxuries but convenience. It's centrally located, blocks away from all the historic places, and close to all dining and bars in town."

"We couldn't have asked for more or for better value. Reception was very friendly, room was brightly lit and exceptionally clean, shower was steamy with great water pressure, beds were comfortable. And the hotel was centered in Bilbao's Old Towne with plenty to do. A perfect combination!"

"This was the worst place we have stayed in 7 weeks of travelling. Tiny room. Double bed against the wall. Bedhead freestanding & moves every time you roll over. Tiny bathroom. No room for cases. In house restaurant closed the 3 nights we stayed. Had to travel 10 kms to find an evening meal. Advertises that it’s 25kms from Bilbao, when it was more like 35km. Extremely noisy from any activity in the passage. Cleaning staff rolling their trolley up & down the passage from a very early hour. Best...

"The hotel itself is nice enough but after a long day's travelling, we were very annoyed to find out that neither the bar nor the restaurant are open in the off-season so rather than an evening relaxing at the hotel, we had to go into the nearest village where we were lucky enough to find a bar where the landlord was willing to cook us a nice but basic meal to go with a few drinks. "Strongly recommended. The views are incredibly beautiful. Lovely place, clean, great price and very good reception service. You could easily walk to the cable car ( funicular- about 20 min walk) and you are in 2 min in the city center. Thanks again for such a pleasant stay! "
