We’ve got a free upgrade into an annex building around the corner, very nice, spacious and clean room. Quiet space. Walkable distance to all main interest points. "I truly do not understand why there are so many negative reviews about this hotel… I do not have a single negative thing to say about it. This was my first trip to Europe, and it was a solo trip. Upon arrival, (Jose or Julio, I can not remember his name unfortunately…) was so kind and accommodating. He spoke wonderful English and was a great conversationalist—making me feel immediately at home. They checked me in quickly and efficiently and even showed me everything inside the room and stayed...

"This hotel was clean, safe, and quiet. It was conveniently located far from all the tourism craziness but also close to all the attractions we were visiting. We easily ordered a taxi from this hotel to the Vatican/Colosseum/Steps/Fountain which was faster than walking. The manager was so hospitable and offered great dining suggestions. One of the restaurants around the corner was Al forno della soffitta which was our favorite meal of our entire trip."
