"Location was great. We were a bit stressed over parking but it was easy and even if we had to park down the hill it wouldn't have been an issue. The house was as represented and even a bottle of wine to welcome us. Took our folding chairs out the back for sun and a spectacular view up to the castle and village. Highly recommend. "

"We have had a wonderful week in Finca Vergel, Gata. The hosts, Rosa and Sebastian were warm and welcoming, the rooms were very comfortable with great attention to detail. The beautifully tended garden is filled with olive and a variety fruit trees, and to be able to wander down to the river was an added bonus. "Beautiful place to spend the night; I was upgraded to the #1 house because of flooding from rain. It’s awesome and cozy. Snacks and fruit on arrival. Castle and such are all right there. I came in January; do plan on bringing food with you as options are closed/limited. "

great stay, well worth a visit

"We really enjoyed the historic aspect of the hotel and the way it has been modernized for comfort, while preserving the historic building. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and both meals were wonderful. We particularly appreciated the excellent customer service by Rocio in the bar/restaurant and Guadeloupe at the front desk. They both were very friendly and helpful. "
