"Location was great. We were a bit stressed over parking but it was easy and even if we had to park down the hill it wouldn't have been an issue. The house was as represented and even a bottle of wine to welcome us. Took our folding chairs out the back for sun and a spectacular view up to the castle and village. Highly recommend. "

"Muy contentos con la estancia, el Apartamento es tal cual se describe. Ideal para una familia de 4. La bañera en uno de los baños nos ha venido bien para las niñas. "We spent four days as a family, teens and tweens included. It was overall a great experience, and the place is highly recommendable if one understands what to expect (the pictures and description are accurate). The owner José went out of his way to be helpful and made communication extremely easy. We felt that if we had had any problem (which we didn't) he would do everything in his power to solve it. "Listen, I am not a hater. I never leave negative reviews. It’s just that this place SUCKS. The furniture was awful when it was new, in the 70’s. The mattress sits on pallets. If Hotels.com has ANY minimum standard of quality for properties, this should certainly be below them. But hey, there’s air conditioning, and if your only goal is to stumble in (preferably drunk) and sleep, for as cheap as possible, you’ll happily get what you paid for. "

Amazing property and the kindest caretakers

"It was very confusing to find this gem as google maps led us astray a couple of times. However, upon arrival we were greeted by the most wonderful caretakers who were so kind and friendly that all the jet lag melted away. Not only is this accommodation amazing and very cool but Ingrid and her husband are brilliant. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. "

"Beautiful place to spend the night; I was upgraded to the #1 house because of flooding from rain. It’s awesome and cozy. Snacks and fruit on arrival. Castle and such are all right there. I came in January; do plan on bringing food with you as options are closed/limited. "

great stay, well worth a visit

"We really enjoyed the historic aspect of the hotel and the way it has been modernized for comfort, while preserving the historic building. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and both meals were wonderful. We particularly appreciated the excellent customer service by Rocio in the bar/restaurant and Guadeloupe at the front desk. They both were very friendly and helpful. "
