"We loved staying on the big orange barge! It was cute and fun and peaceful. Very small, but well furnished. We even managed to cook dinner for 4 in the tiny kitchen, and we crowded into the wheelhouse to eat. We did not invite the guests to stay overnight though, that would have been too much! Gilles was very nice, communicative, flexible and responsive. I highly recommend staying here (if you're no taller than 5'10"!) for a unique stay near the center of Metz. "Unser Aufenthalt war super. Die Zimmer waren 1A ausgestattet und aufgeräumt. Frühstücken oder Abendessen auf dem Deck, war einfach klasse! Kurzer Fußweg in die Innenstadt. Kommunikation war leider sehr mau. Code für Schlüssel haben wir erst gar nicht erhalten. Englisch eher schlecht als nützlich. Und man sollte keine Angst vor Spinnen haben... aber das ist auf Wasser normal ;-)"

"We approached the hotel by car from the side and it was not obvious where the entrance was. The car was valet parked without fuss, there is a paid underground car park nearby too. The hotel overlooks the valley towards the city and afford spectacular views. The walk into the city across the bridge takes around 20 minutes. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast with a great bar."
