"I got this hotel for its location for a few things I wanted to do and that was great. The room was big and comfortable but the downside for me was no mini fridge in the room and the AC wasn’t working. There are a lot of elevators, a few of them I started avoiding bc they would jolt a lot and make lots of noises which made me nervous. All the elevators were really dirty. Not exactly a dealbreaker but for the price tag, there were better expectations."

"I stayed for two nights on a solo trip through China and received truly excellent service from Zhu Shuangqin and the team - they truly went above and beyond to help me arrange a trip to a neighbouring town. The hotel was very nice and very well located too. I would recommend staying here if taking a trip to Zhangjiajie."

"We had a wonderful time at No. 5 from beginning to end. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and modern whilst being right in nature. We were very well looked after by the staff especially Frankie who went above and beyond every day even helping us organise trips and buy tickets and driving us to the entrance of the national park. He was even on hand over Alipay chat to answer questions we had whilst on day trips. Frankie’s dog was also very sweet and warmly greeted us whenever she saw us :) Yama served us wonderful tea and was fascinating to speak to. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place. The surrounding area is amazing and we so enjoyed the national park, ancient town and “Grand Canyon”. "

"The property is amazing. We got a free upgrade with view to the mountain, and a balcony with a spa. Ming, the manager, was super nice, spoke good english, helped us with entrance tickets, gave you maps and good directions and even drove us to the national park! The other employees were very nice too and used the phone dictionary to communicate . Breakfast was good too, and they also offered a la carte dinner, which is very convenient after walking all day."

"The room my friend and I stayed in was clean and comfortable. Jerry was also very accomodating and helped my friend and I arrange various excursions around Zhangjiajie. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone who wishes for friendly service and a stress free trip. "

"Zhangjiajie is a city where western tourists are strange to see. These hotel has the requirements to satisfy our wishes. The staff is always nice in spice of the fact they don't speak English very well. The room very clean. They change towers every day. We love the bathroom. Only to recommend, breakfast should include yogurts, cheese, and ham. This kind of breakfast is what western torist are used to have."
