"This is a working class blue collar hotel. For the price you get, it’s what you expect. The rooms were pretty much clean, towels were clean, beds were clean, fridge, A/C and microwave worked. Area is fairly quiet, with the occasional line or rig worker coming in late. Few restaurants nearby and only a hour and a half away from Austin. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel and the care they are trying to put into the upkeep. I’d stay here again to avoid a 25 min drive to a name brand hotel. "

"This is a very clean and comfortable place at a great price point. The best thing is the really sweet couple running the place. It's an old property but for the price it is safe, clean and what you need for a couple good nights of sleep. I came here for a marathon in Shiner so it was a good location. It's near HEB and a few interesting towns like Luling and Gonzalez on the fringe of hill country. "

"The house is exactly as described in the listing, and is probably the best stocked house we've rented. The kitchen is ready to be used, with the utensils and cookware you need for day to day. The house is nicely decorated and comfortable. The wifi is very fast. Theres just really no downside to the house. The owners obviously work hard to be good hosts, and are very quick to respond to communications. And Victoria is the perfect location, equidistant from houston, corpus christi and san antonio....

"The facilities were what we expected and everyone had a great time. The only complaint would be that there should be better directions to the house. And that once you are out of the house is that you loose Wi-Fi and it doesn’t come back until you are a couple miles from the house. "
