"Amazing location, within 2-3 blocks walking distance from the dock from the Li river cruise! It’s located within easy walking distance to the Yangshuo West Street and Xijie pedestrian street. The bonus is the restaurant that is located on the main floor of the hotel - it’s known to be one of the best restaurants in the area and is always busy! The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful (many of them speak very good English too). I appreciate the housekeeping staff who gave me extra vanity kits after realizing I like to have one extra, as well as the front desk staff who helped bring my very heavy luggage up the stairs! It is a little noisy with the restaurant below but the room is comfortable and quaint feeling. The room itself was clean and with working air conditioning. I absolutely love the tea room next to the window! I would stay here again next time im in Yangshuo! "

"We are were a family of four.Overall the hotel, was really good because the staff’s service was top notch. The food there was tasty and it was good because it had less oil unlike other restaurants outside. The rooms are huge with a nice spacious living room and it has nice scenery with Guilin mountains."

"The rooms at the Yangshuo Fairyland Hotel have the most spectacular views I have ever woken up to in any part of the world. The designer of the hotel knew how to feature the lovely valley ringed by the distinctive mountains that seem to be alive. That alone would make a stay here worth while. Add to this, the incredibly welcoming and communicative host, Mark Ma, who along with his staff in the reception, coffee house and cafeteria, make the place seem like home away from home. Pick-ups from airport and train station are offered and all-day sightseeing as well. And walking around the village next to the hotel offers many interesting sights and encounters with super friendly vendors. In short, thanks to Mark and all for a wonderful stay. Communication was made easy by translation apps, and as more English information is available in writing in the rooms, it will be even easier for non-Chinese speakers to fall in love with the Yangshuo region, people and hotel."

"Beautifully appointed rooms with high windows, A/C, comfortable beds, and a fantastic English speaking host, Demi. We loved the “Western Breakfast” b/c after 2 weeks of continuous Chinese food we were really craving a break. Eggs, waffle, juice, coffee really hit the spot. I can also vouch for the Muesli over yogurt. The pizza is “different” but I still enjoyed. There is an enterprising coffee shop up the road serving espresso drinks with dogs and country western music. Take the hike to Moon hill."

"Yangshuo City has become a big tourist hub (mainly Chinese tourists). The Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is a short taxi (electric scooter ride) to Yangshuo and the surrounding attractions, but sits on a quiet bend of the picturesque Yulong river (almost rivals the Li River Karst tower area in beauty and is a lot less busy). During the day a number of the bamboo rafts with one of two folks floating down the river go by. A night their grass riverfront restaurant is bucolic. The staff speak good English and seem especially understanding of Western tourists. I would definitely stay here again."
