"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. There no toiletries provided till I asked the owner to provide them. There was only one bowl for porridge until I asked for more of the owner. "Place was in a lovely location but the lack of parking could be an issue, also the Wi-Fi code in the info folder was unclear and we needed to look on back of the router to log on, the contact number in the folder was no longer available - because I had an e mail from the owners direct I had a number but it wasn’t helpful as they couldn’t help. "We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. "Great family-run B&B, within 15-20 minutes walk from Canterbury West Station and the city center. Beds are comfortable, dining options were satisfactory and reasonably priced. Wifi was great, I was able to get some work done in the evening. Would come back again. If I were being picky, the showers could be more powerful!"

"Overall a very good experience- we all slept well and enjoyed the breakfast. Access to the hotel was difficult due to maintenance on the road - we actually heard works at midnight - this is not acceptable. Other than that, we had a good stay! "
