"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The service was 11/10. Really attentive and friendly from all areas. Food menu not extensive but I enjoyed my meal. The pool was lovely. The changing room lockers being code rather than key was great and I liked the facility to be able to dry my costume. The room was spacious and modern with lots of plugs and had a separate shower as well as a bath. There was a fridge but it didn’t seem switched on. Didn’t faff but would have been nice if it was cold....

"Beautiful chateau hotel in a building that dates back hundreds of years. This is not a modern hotel but it has all the comfort and luxury plus the amazing history. I’d definitely stay here again. Breakfast is not included! "

We did see if we could move/upgrade whilst we were there but felt the superior rooms were an odd shape with even less floor space and the couch didn't even face the TV. "We had a good experience at this hotel. Wonderful location right next to the Curve auditorium and the Athena centre. Didn't want to go far from the hotel so we had a good meal in the restaurant. Nice touch was that the chef came out and asked if we had enjoyed our meal - which we confirmed we had. The front of house staff were very polite and helpful with any questions we had.
