"One of the best equipped and well set up places I have stayed. Great to have clean and well-equipped kitchen. My room looked out on the road; at first I thought it would be too noisy but the double glazing was very effective at blocking the sound. Good information eg clearly labelled light switches. Easy to use door seduriry with codes. I was delighted to be able to leave my luggage between check-out and train departure. Very convenient for station, town, restaurants, church. Kitchen had just about everything, you just had to find where things were. Four bedrooms, three doubles and one twin bedded. Onsuite bathroom with the master bedroom. Fairly large secluded garden, with several outdoor seating areas. Quiet area, easy parking for 3 – 4 vehicles. Very quick responses from excellent, obliging host. Only improvement...

I would like to point out, bedroom two is separated from the room by a curtain, it wasn't a problem. I love the garden made me feel home from home, it a place to relax. Communication was excellent."

"Searles is a good site with plenty of entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay BUT. We made the booking through Hoseasons and on two occasions we received emails saying your payment has not gone through and the booking was cancelled without any contact with us apart form the email. We struggled to find a phone number to resolve the problem which is still a mystery. Searles provided us with contact number and we were able to book it over the phone. The online booking system was a disaster"

Rooms spacious, furnishing basic We booked for a party of 8, however there were only 6 dining chairs, 6 metal knives and only 5 mugs, of which one had a broken handle. So, provision of equipment was not adequate for the party size booked. There was no check-in information provided. A code for the key safe was e-mailed and sent via text at 1pm of day of arrival, but we had no notice that this was to be the process and we had to chase...

"Super clean, spacious, lovely private garden with badminton rackets and football. Well stocked with tea, coffee, toilet paper, salt & pepper etc etc. 3 generations stayed a week and we loved it. Simple to find. Plenty of room. We didn't find the road a problem with noise at all. Easy walk into town and to the swimming pool. We had a smashing time. Would highly recommend!"

"Lovely house, all as described or better. We were afraid that the garden might be too exposed to the road and hadn't actually realised that there was an additional bit behind the house. In the event, weather wasn't really good enough to spend much time in the garden but would have been great.. Our baby grandchild wasn't quite old enough for the facilities provided but two highchairs, stairgates and toys make it ideal for babies and young children. Nicely located between various interesting food...

"A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"

"My partner and myself stayed here for 2 nights. The pod it's self is tidy, clean, small kitchenette with microwave and toaster, also there is a breakfast hamper, the fridge is stocked with the basics. The pod opens out onto a beautifully kept Japanese garden with Koi pond. Ian and Caz are great hosts and are at the end of a text or call if there are any problems. There is also a hot tub available which just topped off this amazing little retreat. Myself and Darren will definately be coming back....
