Overall, the apartment was good. It was centrally located to many of the museums Winnipeg has to offer and a short drive to Assiniboine Zoo/Park as well as the airport. It is also directly across the street and in fact overlooks the Canada Life Arena. Parking was easy and conveniently attached to the complex. The property manager was very quick to respond to questions when messaged. The soundproofing of the unit was fantastic with one person in my traveling party being a very loud snorer we couldn’t here him in the other room or bathroom.
The main complaint my traveling party had was the posting for the unit listed 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa in order to sleep six and given the configuration of our traveling party we wanted/needed three separate beds. Unfortunately, there was not a pull out sofa or if there was, under the sofa cushions it was incredibly dirty (read used toothpicks, bottle caps and crumbs) that no one felt comfortable exploring this option further especially when we were not able to locate additional bed linens. Adding to our questioning of if the unit actually slept six, was there were only 4 bath towels, which would mean 2 people would need to share towels. It could work to sleep 6 with 3 people sleeping in the king bed, 2 in the queen and 1 person using a sleeping bag on the sofa as long as you brought extra towels.
Additional FYIs to potential renters: there are not room darkening shades so if light bothers you the one bedroom could pose a problem. There are minor maintenance issues that the building owner, not the property owner, should take care, like non functioning electrical wall switches and a screw is being used for the shower regulator, but it didn’t change our opinion one way or another of our stay since we understand complex owners are not quick in making fixes.
