"This is our 3rd stay. The rooms have been upgraded and we had a nice view. We are always made to feel welcome by the wonderful friendly people on reception. We arrived early but were able to leave our bags in reception. Parking is payable and you need to arrive early. However, we know the area well and thete is free on-steet parking nearby if you know where to look."

"Absolute gem of a place, this was our second visit as it's location is super and the hotel itself is a bit quirky and non chain. If travelling by train go to Exeter Central as St David's is uphill."

"Staff were very obliging to accommodate a very late check-in( during the early hours of the morning) due to car troubles along the way. Breakfast was excellent . Room lovely."

"Really lovely stay here. Staff were friendly, helpful and worked together well as a team which shone through. We stayed in a cottage room in the garden which was well appointed, clean, spacious and had an outdoor verandah area for sitting. It was peaceful and well maintained. Other parts of the grounds were not so well kept but as a whole it was fine. A little off the beaten track but the food was excellent and generous so no need to go elsewhere. "

"The venue has a nice rustic feel and is located in a very nice quiet place. The restaurant was very nice & inviting and the food was delicious. The accommodation is also very nice, clean and modern. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely stay again."
