"We had a wonderful weekend visiting the Dove's Nest. Everything was organized, clean, and so easy. From communication with Janie to a fully stocked kitchen and the comfort of the home. It rained and snowed while we were there, but we took so much rest and solace in lounging around the house and enjoying the view out of the front porch. It was truly a relaxing weekend away and we will be better parents for all the thought and kind gestures of the hosts. Excellent stay, no notes! "

It is obvious that the hosts carefully thought through what guests would expect from such a nice property. The has a large deck with an amazing view to the valley below. "Great experience. Cabin is as shown, very comfortable, easy access. 10 min to Shepherdstown, lots of great restaurants and shops there. Our dates ended up being over the severe cold/snow in January 2025, so we didn't do much hiking or anything on the river, but it was a lovely environment, very peaceful and cozy. Owners were super responsive when needed and very easy to work with. Would definitely go back in nicer weather! "

"The cabin was perfect for a few days of writing and reflecting! Everything was very clean and it was easy communicating with the owner. The house is not "secluded" as there are neighboring houses on two sides and if I hadn't brought an ax/saw to cut my own dry wood enjoying a fire wouldn't have been possible. But overall a lovely stay and I look forward to going again!"

"We had a great stay! Tony was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was very cozy and in a peaceful setting. Even though there are houses near by, we never saw anyone else. There's a privacy fence that blocks the view of the hot tub. So no issues using that! Just wish the pond wasn't frozen. We'll definitely stay there again! "
