"Check-in was OK once we figured out the digital entry system they use. The hotel is close to the river, but much of the downtown (old town) was a bit of a drive. It worked out for us because we had a rental car. Not sure how it would work for someone who relies on public transport. Or stay was great. "

"This property was ideal for us as an older couple. It is in a very quiet area just outside Boltenhagen itself. The house is compact and on one level (apart from a couple of steps). The kitchen is well-equipped. The bathroom is a little dated but perfectly functional. Plenty of towels supplied. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable. Dagmar and Rainer spent some time talking us through various options for visits in an area which was new to us (eg Schloss Bothmer, Wismar, Rostock, Luebeck). Netto supermarket is a few minutes' drive away. (UK visitors note: we had to seek out an Apotheke when we ran out of paracetamol!) We enjoyed an excellent evening meal at the Tarnewitzer Hof, a very short walk away. We made contact with the owners prior to our stay and they were available by phone/SMS throughout. (Suggestion: a reliable WiFi/WLAN connection would be an asset.)"

"The place was beautiful but unfortunately uncomfortable. No blinds on the windows caused constant light to flood the bedroom which spacious but smelled musty. "
