"Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. "This place was nice to stay in interlaken. Close you interlaken west station, close to markets. Interlaken is not a big town so you can walk everywhere if you have your stay booked in interlaken. Because its a self check in there is no one in the front desk to get service. If you need extra service such as towels, you would need to talk to people in the morning around 10am when they are here to clean rooms."

"For the price and location near Interlaken stations, this property was good. We were there to hike the mountains not to stay indoors. The location above a several restaurants was noisy at night and near construction in the morning. Usual city inconveniences. "

"I had a great stay at Essential by Dorint Interlaken. Near train station makes travel easy and modern clean room is a plus. Breakfast was good and friendly staff added to the experience. What makes it unique it is conveniently located near shops, supermarket and restaurants. Some rooms have limited views and bit too warm but overall it is worth staying. Would surely recommend. "
