"A great guest house in the heart of Ambleside with secure parking a two minute walk away. Room was excellent, very well decorated ad fitted out. ON-suite was good and the shower was super powerful. Tracey and Kevin were great, super friendly and breakfasst was top notch, loved the big fat cumberland sausage and the poached eggs were excellent. Would highly reccomend."

"Liz and Chris were fantastic hosts, we had a wonderful stay and the room and bathroom were absolutely spotless. Lovely quality duvet, and fantastic breakfast of yoghurt and fruit, homemade granola, cereals, tea, coffee, toast and local jams, and a full English breakfast. They also offer vegetarian options and avocado and poached egg on toast. The options were vast and high quality. They go above and beyond for guests, and catered specifically to my partner being gluten free by providing gluten...

"So cosy and welcoming. Just a 10 minutes walk from station with cases (at 10:30pm) felt very safe and lovely host. Beds were sooo comfy, we all slept like logs. "

"We stayed at the Wanslea on a short motorcycle trip to Ambleside. The rooms were spotless and the building is in an excellent location. A member of our party was staying in another hotel but the owners of the Wanslea were kind enough to accommodate him for breakfast. The entire experience was lovely and the owners were incredibly welcoming. Thank you for a pleasant stay. "
