"I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

"Gorgeous room, felt thoroughly spoilt with the extra treats provided with the room refreshments. Really got to relax in style. We also dines at the pub and had a delicious meal, all sourced from local produce. Will definitely return. "

"The room had excellent facilities, was attractively furnished in keeping with an historic building and village and spacious. Staff were kind and considerate and thoughtful, much appreciatrd as we are in 80s. Menu allowed for variety of choice, food well presented. Highly recommend New Flying Horse to.all and commend owners for such a high class. well run business at reasonable price "

"Wonderful break in a special pub. We really enjoyed our stay at the Duke William. The host Adam was a superstar and all the staff made our visit very special. The pub itself is the star, such a wonderful ambience, clearly loved by locals. The food is hearty and everything you want from pub grub. Our room was a little on the small side, so we had to squeeze to get around the bed, and it was on the warm side (but better that than being too cold). "The room was very nice, the pub is pretty, and the village is pretty. However the listing was misleading - the restaurant doesn't function midweek, and they don't do breakfast either during the week. I was walking, and didn't want to walk more miles to eat. It's not hard to provide a cold breakfast. So make sure you check whether they're doing food if it matters to you. "

"Bright and cosy stay in a one bed flat in a small terraced house. Lively high ceilings and view to the sea through the baw windows. It's not a luxury hotel! - but was functional, clean and a great option for a weekend at a festival in neighbouring town Margate. Good prices, excellent communication, on-street parking and short stroll to the beach. "

"Lovely stay, very convenient to the train station, cliffs walk and castle. Kitchen and laundry facilities available for use which was nice. Only downside was the sink in our room did not drain well so we didn’t really get to use it properly. "

"The Hotel was in a great location, with free parking. Short walk to Westgate area in Canterbury with great restaurants. Great base to see all of Kent. We spent three nights and the staff were amazing, helpful & friendly. The room was very clean and we had a good night sleep every time. The bathroom was in great condition. We even had a bath as it was so cosy. The best thing about this hotel it comes with an amazing steakhouse / carvery. We even decided to eat there every night for dinner as the food was so good and reasonably priced. The Breakfast was very good and they do perfect poached eggs. They catered and took care in allergens and recommend it for anyone who need to eat gluten free. I highly recommend this hotel. "

Superb little room

"Can’t fault our stay. Warm welcome at check in, very quick and easy to find our accommodation. Suite was bright, thoughtfully decorated and very very clean. All the information we needed about the hotel and services was either communicated directly or left in the room for us to read. Complimentary hot drinks, warm room and comfortable bed. Nicely equipped bathroom and a hairdryer which was really appreciated. Breakfast was really good and so quick. Never received a full English breakfast as quickly as that. Waiting staff were lovely. Easy and friendly check out. We won’t hesitate to return "
