"First time stay for three nights while visiting family. Vert clean throughout the hostel and updated to a high standard. Very nice ensuite shower room with towels provided which is good so you don't have to pack any. Comfortable bunk bed in the twin room we were in. It's a tiny hostel with only three bedrooms and the communal kitchen dinner but it has all the basics you need. It's also safe and secure because of the entry codes to the hostel itself as well as your room. It is dog friendly because one of the other guests had their sweet dog staying so that's a huge plus if you're looking for accommodation that accepts dogs. Hostel is right in Wigtown's main High Street with convenience of shops, cafes, pub etc but it was still quiet. Parking is not a problem on the High Street .Would definitely stay there again."

"The hosts were great with communication. The check in instructions were easy to follow. A "user guide" would be a good addition to explain electric fire, heat, etc. And, toconfirm that i was in the right lodge and hadnt accidentally broken into someone else's bit!"

"We had a lively stay. The rooms are above a pub and restaurant. It was very quiet and relaxing in the room with good amenities. The staff weere welcoming and friendly on arrival. The breakfast was liveky and plentiful, the chef was very cheerful and made us feel at ease. The porridge is yummy. Yhe pub has sky and a massive beer garden. "Stayed one night on road trip around south-west Scotland. Easy entry to property using key code. Room clean and well kept. Although no dedicated parking to problem with on street parking near the hotel. Great breakfast and staff helpful and friendly. Would stay again."
