"Host was very friendly & accomodating, flexible. Long, dusty, bumpy dirt road to property. Woodsy & secluded. If you think camping, you'll be thrilled w/ AC, very comfortable beds, electricity, hot & cold water etc. You won't mind so much missing & broken items and minor housekeeping lapses. Overall, a pleasant, inexpensive getaway, tho you can hear &glimpse major highway nearby. Despite nearby homes, we saw a deer and several bunnies!"

"Kelly is an awesome host. Even though some of their property was damaged two weeks before by Hurricane Helene, they let us shelter there when our place was evacuated for Hurricane Milton. The property sits in the middle of state forest with no neighbors and seems remote but is only a mile from the highway, but you wouldn't know it. "We just wanted a place to get away from all the noise of the world. This was perfect. The fact that we were able to bring our little dog with us truly enhanced our stay. Looking out on the serene river was wonderful. The house had everything that we needed and more. The only thing I would say is a couple of night lights would be nice but other than that, it was terrific. We had a campfire. We cooked on the grill. There was plenty of hot water for showers.
