The Space:
Allium House has been furnished to a very high standard. With premium furniture and beautiful finishes, you can expect a truly luxurious stay.
Head to the living room and you’ll find a relaxing space with comfy sofas and a large bay window which allows light to flood into the room. Turn on the flat screen TV to keep up with your favourite shows or spend quality time with your loved ones.
The property has a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area. A real social hub, this space is great for relaxing with your party. The dining area includes a large table with ample seating for all guests.
Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals easily. Shaker in style, the dove grey cabinets are super stylish and help to maintain the combination of modern and traditional decor inside the property.
Allium House boasts five spacious bedrooms. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with king size beds, one of which also boasts an additional bunk bed. The rest of the bedrooms are located on the second floor, and they include a king, an ensuite double, and a twin (this can be joined to create a super-king upon request if more suitable for your stay).
There is a shower room on the first floor and the main family bathroom with a freestanding bath is located next door. There is also an additional bathroom (with a shower) on the second floor.
Outside you’ll find a welcoming courtyard with outdoor furniture, a hot tub, and an external WC. The perfect spot for a morning coffee or an evening tipple, the courtyard is a real added bonus to this beautiful property.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the property. The keys to Allium House are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
A parking scratch card is provided, allowing for free on-street parking in Whitby's 'W' Zone.
A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Allium House per reservation.
The Neighborhood:
Allium House is situated just off from Whitby’s infamous Skinner Street so you can expect a fantastic central location. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short stroll from the property and on Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.
The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
Allium House is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot.
Whitby train station is just a short 10-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
