"This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. We were there to visit Hobbiton and the glo caves. It was centrally located. We slept well and would stay again in the future. "

"It was just as described but a too small for 4 adults. Great for family for one night. Very close to Black water caves, it was perfect for that. The Fat Kiwi Cafe is a must visit just 9 minutes down the road. Missed a stove but the BBQ was a great improvision. Very cool concept. "

"My family stayed here for two nights. This location is just around the corner from the caves, but is secluded. An excellent place to stay to avoid the crowds. The hostess responds fairly quickly to questions. I highly recommend going on the farm tour if you can - the tour is usually included for people staying at one of the hostess's properties, and includes the opportunity to meet sheep, cows, goats, alpacas, emus, and ostriches. "It's a villa - so it has it's quirks. But that's the beauty of it and Tracey was always quick to answer our call whenever we discovered said quirks. The beds are divine and we had the best nights sleep. The facilities are great - everything you need when you're at a week long event at Lake Karapiro. "Thanks for an awesome long weekend - we explored a little bit of Cambridge & discovered how cool it was. The local shops, Saturday market & bike hires were all really easy. There’s a great Lake walk minutes away & amazing local Italian for dinner. Thanks for making it easy to enjoy. The fresh flowers in the rooms were a lovely, welcoming touch."

"Spa pool Grotty and green. Both filters blocked and yuck. Had to drain it and get in touch with property manager to access woodshed for spa chemicals. Weeds growing everywhere & yard very untidy. Windows filthy throughout the house. Beautiful location, loved the house… just disappointed we couldn’t use the spa as advertised and for the price we expected a clean and tidy property. "
