"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. There no toiletries provided till I asked the owner to provide them. There was only one bowl for porridge until I asked for more of the owner. "Place was in a lovely location but the lack of parking could be an issue, also the Wi-Fi code in the info folder was unclear and we needed to look on back of the router to log on, the contact number in the folder was no longer available - because I had an e mail from the owners direct I had a number but it wasn’t helpful as they couldn’t help. "We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. We’d recommend Margarita’s for take away pizza and Mike’s Bikes for cycle hire. Walking distance into Deal from the cottage was about 30mins, which along the seafront was no time at all. "Great family-run B&B, within 15-20 minutes walk from Canterbury West Station and the city center. Beds are comfortable, dining options were satisfactory and reasonably priced. Wifi was great, I was able to get some work done in the evening. Would come back again. If I were being picky, the showers could be more powerful!"

"Overall a very good experience- we all slept well and enjoyed the breakfast. Access to the hotel was difficult due to maintenance on the road - we actually heard works at midnight - this is not acceptable. Other than that, we had a good stay! "

"We had an amazing stay at Broome Park. It’s such an impressive building that’s well maintained, and the rooms are really impressive to make your stay feel all the more special. We loved having a drink in the bar, finding the snooker room and having a go and enjoying the view from our window whilst enjoying our morning coffee in bed :) "
