"A lovely old 'proper' village pub. Great service and food (just the right sized portions for dinner and breakfast as well. Room was initially warm (we were fine in January without the radiator on all weekend) and the mattress was very soft and bouncy (for us at least compared to what we are used to). "

Traditional pub with good rooms . Went into Chichester which was about 20min drive great day out beautiful Cathedral. We will going back to the fox goes free ."

"I booked the property going solely from the reviews and was not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable. The food choices and service was good and i enjoyed eating there. I was not really expecting much as the cost was very reasonable but was impressed. The staff were really good and very pleasant. This is a town centre pub so noise may be an issue at times but during our stay it was only evident on the friday night (before xmas) which still was not a problem. I would definitely stay...

"It was our third visit to the Jolly Drover and we have always returned because the beds and bedding are so comfy and the accommodation is simple but well maintained. We have stayed in different rooms and this time were in room 6. Everything was fine until we got into bed. The mattress was so awful that you could feel the slats on the bed.
