"The room was clean and spacious. Our dogs were very welcomed, although they were not allowed anywhere else in the hotel, not even the bar. We’re from Cornwall where dogs are welcome everywhere, bars, restaurants and shops. We were visiting family in the area so it provided us with a good base. We will stay here again on our next visit. "

"A beautiful building with welcoming log fires. The hotel is very comfortable and every member of staff went out of their way to be helpful with my disabled husband. They were unfailingly cheerful and created a lovely atmosphere."

"A very pleasant stay, will stay there again without doubt. Only non plus is that sadly looked dated & out side surroundings looked unkept."

"The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. But our family room was over the laundry and at 6am they were draging metal trolleys in and out. Ans with a toddler this woke her after a late night traveling. The bathroom was dirty, The toilet had marks in it and there was thick dust behind the sink and sticky drip stains on the batbroom floor. Other than this the stay was nice. Breakfast was lovely. The pool and saunas were out of use which was disappointing. "

"Excellent central location. Car park at rear of hotel. Lovely people. But Under staffed (slow check out due to only 1 person on reception trying to handle telephone enquiry). Comfy bed, great shower. Expensive."
