"Lovely stay with an excellent welcome from very attentive hotel and restaurant staff. Room and bathroom was a bit smaller than I expected, and could do with a bit more modernising, TV was very small and floors quite uneven and creaky. But that kind of added to the atmosphere of an ancient gatehouse. Next time I would request a room with a view of the cathedral as I think these must be more spacious. "

"This is a site the is still being worked on. The rooms were incredibly well equipped and the apple juice and Nature Valley bars were a lovely touch. This is a perfect stop over for Bristol airport and will be great once the building works have been completed. Would definitely stay here again."

"It was ok the bed was very comfortable and spacious,room was ok but signs of damp on ceiling not so good ,had kettle and tea coffee and milk and water and microwave in room ,didn't feel like sitting in living room as it looked like housekeepers belongings at dining table ,shame no breakfast available but you get what you pay for as I enjoyed the comfy bed all to.myself "

"The property is magnificent, weird, wonderful and interesting. The owner Tony was very accommodating and explained the history of the house which is really informative and intriguing. Our room was spotless and beautiful. I would highly recommend to stay here great value for money and a beautiful fascinating stay! "

"Sam, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating when I arranged to check in before the designated time. Although the property is not manned as such, no reception, Sam greets guests for check in and goes out of his way to be welcoming. The room was clean, plenty of tea/coffee etc. and the bed was comfy. Also, very reasonably priced. There is no kitchen/dining room, but everything you could ever need is just a short walk away. 10 out of 10."

"I was very happy with my en-suite room at the Parasol Weston. It was very clean and comfortable, and fortunately (and skillfully!) I was able to park close by. Although I entered the building using a code as instructed, I did actually meet the owner on arrival who was friendly and welcoming."

"The room was very clean, beds comfy, en suite was nice and clean, huge TV, WIFI was brilliant, fridge was a nice touch as was tea. Coffee and biscuits, there was also nice soft towels and toiletries. On the down side I didn’t see a single member off staff or another guest, didn’t really think much to the key box check in. There was no restaurant or guest TV room. The street is very scruffy and rubbish strew all over the road."

"Amazing historic building oozing character and charm. Patricia is warm and genuine host. Nothing is too much trouble. It was a pleasure to stay there and would certainly recommend it."

"We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful stately home. Bridget, Bas and all the other staff we met were charming, friendly and accommodating, including agreeing to bring forward our stay at almost no notice even though we had a fixed, non-refundable booking through hotels.com. This enabled us to visit just before coronavirus restrictions came into place and we had the place to ourselves most of the time. The cooked breakfast was very good. "Good location and under a 25min walk into the city centra. Roomy one bed apartment with good sized rooms throughout. Safe environment within a gated community with security on site. Affordable and secure parking. Room heating was too hot; controls not very responsive - please check! Also, bathroom towel rail though it carried a warming notice is far too hot!"
