"I wanted to find a nice bed-and-breakfast inn-type place to stay at during a brief trip to upstate New York (Dutchess County). The Inn at Pine Plains receives consistently excellent reviews on Expedia so I decided to follow those recommendations. The good reviews are accurate. Plus, there are at least two excellent world-class restaurants within walking distance. "

"The tub and the bed were very nice and comfortable. The room was interesting and definitely had a good curated vibe as a carriage house with nice wide plank wood floors, interesting shaped room vaulted ceiling and vintage tiling in bath, etc. However there were not enough outlets, and the outlets that were there were not easy to plug into and one sparked. Room would greatly benefit from a coffee maker as the promised 7:30 coffee delivery did not happen in a timely enough manner on either day....

"The owner or manager was quite accommodating with early checkin for our luggage and let us use her mini refrigerator. She was very friendly and gave us a tour of this 1889 home. She made a delicious breakfast accommodating my gluten and dairy intolerance. The bed and room were totally comfortable! The only drawbacks were sharing the bathroom with the three other rooms making six people using the one bathroom. A water filter is also needed for the brown water."

"There is a tiny little wooden bridge at the entrance of the driveway and the mailbox is on the opposite side of the road from the house. A doe was keeping watch on the mailbox when we arrived after dark. And check out the night sky!"

"The house and property are beautiful. There are only 3 suites designed by the owner who is an architect. She lives on the property in an attached house. The house is eco friendly; solar powered , lights that shut off automatically, etc. she provided breakfast food including overnight oats, parfaits, bagels, juice, coffee, cereal. The shower was heavenly. Big thick Turkish towels. The mattress on the bed was perfect. We would definitely go back again. "

"The hotel is very old and charming! It adds to the atmosphere of the area. If you’re looking for all the modern amenities this would not be the best choice. Internet was sporadic and there was no TV service which was a reminder of how old the hotel is. I thought it was a wonderful break from 2024!"

"The proprietor and her mom are wonderful hosts. The property is pretty. The rooms are very clean and there was a full hot breakfast and was made to order. This was the second time U stayed here. I would definitely return. "
