stay
It was good overall. There was some nearby construction during the day, though, and that made it a little less peaceful than we would have liked.

La perle rosée boréale
The Chalet was lovely and well fitted out, linens & towels were great, and the chalet was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts responded quickly to any inquires we had. Would suggest the following: 1. Note in the listing that firewood is at the renters cost( we spent time looking for firewood, as there was none available on site despite being reflected in the listing photo) 2. Mow the grassy areas so that renters can use the area 3. provide the regulations booklet in english 4. clear the path to the lake front so that it is safe to use 5. Repair the hand held shower handle in the bathtub so that it works 6. provide a canoe that is safe to use 7. Note in the listing that life jackets are available & where they are located on the property 8. The fire pit was not in good working order..perhaps the chimney requires cleaning

Peaceful place
We had a great time, the place was comfortable for our group of 9. We couldn’t swim in the lake, the access is tricky, but we had fun with the kayaks and pedal boat. Great vacations!

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage! Everything was working perfectly, and the place was accurate to the listing. I would just recommend any guests be cautious when accessing the lake area, as it is a small hike to get done there.

Best sleep I've gotten on vacation.
This place is beautiful to say the least. All of the comforts & amenities of home, with attention to extras for families with small children. Everything you can possibly need, is provided, except I would have liked to see hand towels for the washrooms (I went into town & bought some). The owners are very quick & responsive to any questions & concerns, as well as extremely friendly. A few things I would like to mention, the hike down to the lake to where the dock is, is steep, slippery (more so after it's rained), dangerous & not an easy. There are steps further down leading to the dock, but there is about 10 feet from the dock to the steps of marsh you have to walk through. The paddle boat was missing the back flipper that allows for navigation, making it unusable during our stay ( my sons were disappointed). We also were unable to use the hot tub as there was a horrible smell coming from it (smelled like a dirty fish tank), as well as the cover contraption was broken on one side, making it very difficult to remove and put back on as it is extremely heavy. My husband hurt his back getting the cover back onto the spa. I would suggest stairs from the back of the property be put in all the way down to the bottom of the mountain, & an extended dock so that you don't have to walk through marsh waters. A few fixes and this place is perfect! I will definitely book again, & have already recommended this place to friends & family. We look forward to our future stays!
